Greyhounds News · Greyhounds hire new football coach!

Eaton Rapids Athletics is pleased to announce that, pending Board of Education approval on 5/9/2018, Mr. Joseph Brya will take over the reins of the Greyhound Football program beginning immediately!  Mr. Brya is a graduate of Grand Ledge HS, Michigan State University (B.A. in history) and Ohio University (M.S. in sports science).  This fall will be his 12th year as a high school football coach and 10th as a high school history teacher, which he will also continue at ERHS. He coached at Grand Ledge as an assistant coach for 3 years and at Homer High School as an assistant coach for 3 years and the head coach for 5 years.  During this time, his teams won 4 conference championships, made 7 playoff appearances and were named Academic All-State. Joseph is married to Jeannette and they have a daughter Bridget and they are both excited to cheer on the Greyhounds!

There will be an informational parent/player/coach meeting on Wednesday, May 30 , 2018 at 6:00pm in the ERHS Library/Media Center for all those interested.

Attention new and current Football Players (current 8th – 11th graders):  Coach Brya will be conducting weight lifting and skill workouts on the following days, Spring sports athletes are encouraged to attend if it doesn’t conflict with practice or games!
