The Lady Greyhounds earned their first win of the season tonight, beating the Lansing Sexton Big Reds tonight, 56-26. Attacking the Big Reds from the opening tip, Eaton Rapids scored the first 8 points to jump out to an early lead it would never relinquish. Despite 23 points from Big Reds’ star Tori Blackman, the Greyhounds balanced attack proved to be too much. Ari Sysum lead the way for the Greyhounds with 18 points and 7 rebounds, followed by Peyton Benjamin with 11 points, and fellow senior Kaylee Benton chipping in 10 points. Rounding out the scoring for the Greyhounds were Isabell Ausel with 9 points and 7 rebounds, Serenity Horton with 4 points, Megan Huisman with 2 points, and Shelby Warner with 2 points to go with her 5 steals.
JV added a win on the night by winning by a score of 52-7.
