The Lady Greyhounds of Eaton Rapids fell to the Cavaliers of Corunna 43-32 due to a slow first half. The Cavaliers came into this game ranked #7 in the state for Division 2, but the Greyhounds started the game defensively well, holding Corunna to just 3 points in the first 5 minutes, while scoring 4 themselves. The Cavaliers then went on a 8 point run to close the quarter. Sluggish feet doomed the Greyhounds during that run, and into the 2nd quarter, as they never could get any flow on offense. The defense held firm however, holding this top 10 team to just 9 points in the 2nd quarter. After a fiery halftime, the Greyhounds came out with some energy, and in the first 3 minutes of the 2nd half, closed the gap slightly, pulling within 8 points, and forcing a Cavalier timeout. Corunna then relaxed and played more calm extending the lead up to 17 before holding a late rally by the Greyhounds off to seal the victory. Ari Sysum lead the Greyhounds with 14 points, with Isabell Ausel adding 7 points. Also scoring were Megan Huisman with 4 points, Shelby Warner with 3, Adi Sysum put in 2, and Kyra Acker finished the scoring with 2 points. The Greyhounds now turn their attention to a rematch with rival Charlotte on Friday night.
